love

PREPARATION:

Cut out approximately 12-16 letters and hide them throughout the room (using the tape, if necessary).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Explain to the class that God’s love is the greatest love on earth! Write the word “LOVE” in big letters on the white board or poster board. Spell the word out loud for the children and ask them to spell it with you. Tell them to look for these hidden letters throughout the room. Once all the letters are found, use them to spell “LOVE” as many times as possible.

CONCLUSION:
God’s love is the biggest because He created us and sent Jesus to die for our sins! And now we have learned how to spell “LOVE.”

Time-saver option: Hide fewer letters.

Increased difficulty option: Use more letters and encourage each child to find one of each letter to spell “LOVE” on their own.
