SERIES DESCRIPTION

A three lesson series about Samuel the Prophet, showing how he followed God in faith from the time he was young until he was an old man.

Lesson 1 - Baby Samuel

In this lesson about Hannah and the birth of Samuel, the children will learn about the power of sincere prayer. Bible Verse - Psalm 54:2; Bible Story - The Birth of Samuel; Optional Bible Story - 1 Samuel 1:1-20. 

Lesson 2 - The Lord Calls Samuel

In this lesson, children learn that God speaks to us today in many different ways. He speaks to us through the Bible, through other people—such as preachers and teachers, and through the wonderful world that He created. Bible Verse - 1 Samuel 3:9; Bible Story - 1 Samuel 3:1-10.

Lesson 3 - Prophet and Judge

In this lesson, children discover that Samuel followed God all the days of his life, while Saul lost his job as king because he was disobedient. Bible Verse - Psalm 119:44; Bible Story - Samuel - Prophet and Judge; Optional Bible Story - 1 Samuel 3:19-21; 7:15-8:9; 15:17-23 and 16:1-13.
