SERIES DESCRIPTION
Jesus taught the people using simple and meaningful stories called parables. Lessons in this series cover some of the more well known parables told by Jesus. You can use these lessons by themselves as stand-alones, or together as a series.

Lesson 1 - The Good Samaritan
In this lesson, children discover Jesus is there to give them comfort whenever they need Him. They will also learn that they should provide help to others whenever they can. Bible Verse - Matthew 22:39; Bilbe Story - Luke 10:25-37.
Lesson 2 - The Lost Sheep
This lesson will help the children discover that Jesus is our good shepherd. He protects and cares for us. Bible Verse - Psalm 119:10; Bible Story - Matthew 18:10-14, Luke 15:1-7.
Lesson 3 - The Prodigal Son
This lesson will teach children the qualities of a loving father and that all of us can have this type of loving relationship with our Heavenly Father. Bible Verse - Proverbs 22:6; Bible Story Luke 15:11-24.
Lesson 4 - Parable of the Sower
This lesson will help children learn that God wants us to grow both physically and spiritually. Bible Verse - 2 Peter 3:18a; Bible Story - Matthew 13:3-23 with illustrations.
Lesson 5 - The Wise and Foolish Builders
This lesson will teach the children the importance of having Jesus and the Bible as their foundation in all that they do. The children will also learn what happens to lives not built on the rock of Jesus when storms come. Bible Verse - Luke 6:48; Bible Story - Matthew 7:24-27.
Lesson 6 - A Friend in Need
This lesson will help the children understand how they can pray boldly and ask God to provide for their needs and the needs of others. Children will also learn different ways they can treat others that will help show God's love. Bible Verse - Luke 11:9; Bible Story - Luke 11:5-13.
