KING SAUL - LESSON PREVIEWS

SERIES DESCRIPTION

This four lesson series about King Saul teaches us that we should live obedient lives and walk in the Truth. We can trust God in all things because He is our King. 

Lesson 1 - A King on Demand

This lesson will help the children understand that God is our King. He made us special and He provides for us. Therefore, we should enjoy what we have and never be jealous of others. Bible Verse - Matthew 6:33; Bible Story - 1 Samuel 8:4-7, 10-22.

Lesson 2  - My King Knows Me

This lesson will inspire the children to have the courage needed to do what God asks them to do. This lesson will also show that God knows and calls each of us by name. Bible Verse - Psalm 147:4; Bible Story - 1 Samuel 10:20-24.

Lesson 3 - A King's Lie

This lesson teaches children to live and walk in Truth but trusting God and obeying His commands. Children also discover how God knows all and sees all. Bible Verse - Proverbs 20:28; Bible Story - Saul Disobeys God (Skit); Alternate Bible Story - 1 Samuel 15:13-36.

Lesson 4 - A King's Jealousy

This lesson about King Saul's jealousy of David, teaches the children that jealousy is a sin. The children also learn that God calls us to love and pray for everyone, even our enemies. Bible Verse - Matthew 5:44; Bible Story - 1 Samuel 18:5-16.
