Lesson 1 - Water Into Wine

In this lesson, children learn that the Lord cares about all of our needs, however seemingly insignificant, when He turns the ordinary into the exceptional for His glory. Memory Work - John 2:11; Scripture Reading and Discussion - John 2:1-11. 

Application: Jesus' first miraculous sign shows that the Lord cares about even our insignificant needs as He turns the ordinary into the exceptional, for His glory. We should consider these blessings as anything but ordinary and loving thank God for the abundance in which He blesses us with His goodness.

Lesson 2 - The Great Catch

Through this lesson children learn that we can accomplish so much more in life when we include God in everything we do. The Holy Spirit, prayer, and Bible reading empower both our physical and spiritual lives. Memory Work - Philippians 4:13; Scripture Reading and Discussion - Luke 5:1-11.

Application: Many people struggle in life, trying to accomplish everything using just their own strength. We can easily wear ourselves out if all we have to rely on is our own abilities. Whether it's a physical task or a spiritual endeavor we can always benefit from the help of others. The Holy Spirit, Prayer, Bible Reading and the counsel of other Christians will empower our spiritual lives and projects, which in turn will effect all aspects of our lives. 

Lesson 3 - Jesus Heals a Paralytic

Through this lesson, children learn that Jesus is more concerned with our spiritual condition than He is with our physical well being. Memory Work - Hebrews 11:1; Scripture Reading and Discussion - Mark 2:1-12.

Application: We can bring our friends to Jesus, just as the four men in our story worked hard to bring their friend to the Lord. We need to show love and perseverance as we bring our friends that may be spiritual paralyzed to Jesus. There may be obstacles that we need to dig through, so our faith in the Lord will need to motivate us as we try to bring our friends to Jesus.

Lesson 4 - Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

Through this lesson, children learn that Jesus is able and willing to supply both our physical and spiritual needs. We need to be careful not to waste the blessings the Lord provides and utilize these gifts to the best of our abilities. Memory Work - John 6:48; Scripture Reading and Discussion - Mark 6:30-44.

Application: When Jesus is involved in our lives even a little can go a long way. We should be careful not to waste that which the Lord has given us. In our reading today, we learned that no one that sought the Lord was sent away empty handed, all who came to Jesus were filled both spiritually and physically. Even today, there is no end to the abundance Jesus provides for those who sincerely seek Him.

Lesson 5 - Jesus Walks on Water

Through this lesson, children will learn that there will be times in life when our faith is tested. Life will not always be easy, and we will need to let our faith in God help keep us afloat during the difficult times in our lives. Memory Work - Hebrews 11:6; Scripture Reading and Discussion - Matthew 14:22-33.

Application: It may not always be easy to recognize the Lord in the middle of life's storms; however, Jesus is always there for us, willing to reach out and save us when we cry out for help. None of us has been asked to walk on water, but there will be times in life when our faith is tested. Life will not always be easy, let your faith in God help keep you afloat during the difficult periods in your life. What cool things could we do, if we trusted Jesus enough to step out of our boat, out of our comfort zone?

Lesson 6 - Raising of Lazarus

Through this lesson children will be introduced to the concepts of resurrection and eternal life. They get a glimpse of the power that will be fully displayed during the final resurrection when all the deceased hear Jesus' voice and rise from the dead. Memory Work - John 11:25; Scripture Reading and Discussion - John 11:1-44.

Application: The resurrection of the dead and eternal life in Heaven, through the atonement of Christ, is a core belief of all Christians. As Christians, we no longer need to fear death. 1 Corinthians 15:55. states, "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" We are blessed in Christ and should live lives that honor God, looking forward to the day that we will be with Him in Heaven.
