PREPARATION:
Hang up the basketball board on the back of a door or on a wall. If using a hula hoop, hold the hula hoop out as the “basket” for the game.
NEW TITLE (Copy/Pasted):
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Tell the class that everyone will get five chances to make a basket (if there is time, consider allowing each child to shoot the ball ten times). Ask a volunteer to keep score on the board after each child has a turn.
Application:
Even though we missed some of our shots, God never misses His! He is perfect and desires to justify us (or make us perfect) through His grace. And while it seems impossible to us, nothing is impossible for God. He sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, so we could believe in Him and have eternal life. And once we believe in Jesus, God doesn’t keep score of our sins, or “misses,” anymore!
