DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

 jealousy

PREPARATION:

Before class, print, cutout, and hide the jealousy cards throughout the classroom. Piror to starting the activity, write “God’s jealousy” on a sheet of paper. On another sheet of paper, write “Our jealousy.” Set the pieces of paper on opposite sides of the room or on different ends of a table.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Explain to the children that they will search for the cards and then place them within the correct category. After all the words are found and placed, review the difference between God’s jealousy and human jealousy by identifying the words in each category.

Tell the children that God is jealous because of His love for us! God created us to worship and love Him above all other things, so the consequences of His jealousy should bring us back into a more loving relationship with Him.
