A Perfect Day

Through contemplating the perfect day, children will gain an understanding of what makes God holy.

DURATION:

Approximately 5-10 minutes

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Say, “The word, ‘holy,’ means perfect and unlike any other. When we use this word to describe God, we identify His unmatched position as Creator of the universe and His perfect nature.” To help the children understand the difference between God’s perfection and humanly subjective perfection, have each child answer the following question:

What would you do on a perfect day?

In lieu of each child’s answer, add that while our perceptions of perfection are different, God’s perception is the true standard. Comment, “This truth – Everything God does is perfect and without sin – and that is what makes Him holy.”
